The remit is deliberately broad: runs, work, late nights, cooking, the long walk home, the odd bit of fun. One playlist that holds a single coherent character while its actual contents keep moving underneath you. Come back tomorrow and the furniture has been rearranged by hand.
That daily tending is the whole point. The algorithm-built alternative drifts, softens, and quietly fills with whatever keeps you from skipping. We would rather interfere: tighten what has gone slack, retire a track that has worn out its welcome, and bring in something that has been earning its place in the wings.
Every track here arrives because a person thought it belonged, sitting next to the tracks around it, on the day you happen to be hearing it. There is a point of view running through the list, and you can feel it holding the thing together even as the songs rotate.
